Message	If it is just an ipod I would agree. However in the case of the iPhone you need to access it very quickly when you get a call, use the Voice Control feature, GPS maps, or press the screen for streaming Pandora, etc. I would say that in my experience visibility is a MUST for the iPhone. The iPod however is pretty much simple functions that do not require visual or physical access.
